  • Started at the Watford School of Music with Jean Merlow in 1955
  • Later obtained a fee paying scholarship to the W. School of M. (for passing Grade 4 piano with distinction before reaching 12 years of age).
  • Entered the Royal College of Music on a Foundation Scholarship and studied with Cyril Smith for 3 years and Bernard Roberts for one year
  • Obtained an ARCM diploma for performing
  • A year later obtained an ARCM diploma for teaching
  • I have been teaching piano since 1968

I am happy to teach all levels and ages (current age range 6-65 years).
I teach 6 days a week in term time (Monday to Saturday noon) and mostly after school on the weekdays.There are 3 terms a year and usually 12 lessons a term although the Spring term can often only run for 10 weeks.
The fees, at the moment, are £14 per half hour lesson payable half termly or termly on the first session of each period.
Missed lessons are only made up at my discretion.
